I haven't been here for some months, but see now that it's changed. Why??
There used to be many users, many posts and many ongoing discussions, but now it seems there's about 1. What's happened?
It's not as good as before, and PLEASE PLEASE change the colours - Red on black is an eyesore.
Thanks
Ged

When the new new look website turned up a while ago it didn't have a forum on it, but when it did finally get one a few months later it was all too late in my opinion. Also on the old FACT homepage you could see that it had a forum as it had a forum message on it and you couldn't exactly miss it, but with it being on this new website you have to go on the pulldown menu and click on 'get involved' to find it. It's just too easy to miss and this is a real shame as I used to love posting on this forum for many years. Another unfortunate thing is that once Woody left you didn't have access to somebody who could answer your cinema requests etc quickly, which was a huge bonus of this forum at the time. Yes other very helpful staff like Joan and other members in the FACT team would put your questions forward to the cinema programmer, but it just isn't the same as getting direct access to a programmer like Damo and Woody in the good old days. I still hope that over time more people will join and then I'll probably participate more. ![]()

Hi Both
thanks for your comments - I've passed them on to our On-Line guy - keep plugging away on here - I am sure we can get this up and running as the extremely useful and entertaining forum it used to be.
Cheers, Joan

Agree with above and assume nobody is monitoring these either as the 'art' forum has one post from Joan and 3 of lesbian porn spam...
NB Making the website black doesn't make it arty, quite often it just makes it harder to read.

I think an easy to access and better promoted forum could take off well. I regularly visited the forum on the old site and found it to be a useful resource.
Minor gripe - there are 3 or so film queries currently on this forum that haven't had a response. I'm about to post another and part of me is wondering if there's any point?
It would be nice if posts could be monitored and responded to at regular intervals. An open dialogue would be in keeping fact's aims of social interaction and foster a community feel.
Having said that, on the whole I consider myself lucky to live in a city with such a good small cinema/arts centre. So thanks to everyone at fact! Keep up the good work!!
